From Anthony Sabatini, our Lake County REC Chairman, “Today, for the first time ever, we at the Florida GOP are passing Legislative Priorities—an endorsement list of some of the strongest conservative legislation filed in the Legislature right now (similar to the @TexasGOP under the leadership of Chairman @MattRinaldiTX).
Now passing Legislatives Priorities is the new standard in the party—no more silence from the State Party as conservative reforms are struggling to get passed in the legislature (the list is below).”
NOTE: These are very similar to the ones the LCREC passed at our January meeting!
We had a great turn out, plenty of prizes, and lots of informative speakers and candidates. Here is a short recap.
We started it out with prayer, the pledge, and a live vocalist singing the National Anthem with keyboard accompanist from the River Church – Clermont. The highlight of the evening was Raven Siegenthaler, Chair – State of Florida Teenage Republicans. She opened with a short but energizing speech explaining that her generation is fed up with what the media portrays them as.
We had other club chairs speak and inform us as well of what they do – Andy Dubois, RLC; Rick Carlins, FRA; Erick Hernandez, Young Republicans Club (under 40). Each club is worth investigating.
Local candidates gave their 2 minute elevator speech to inform us of what they stand for. Some were even competing for the same office but gave their unique strengths.
We then heard from Lake County Election Integrity and how we need to hold our legislature accountable for not passing the bills to return us to hand-counting with voter ID.
Pastor Caleb, River Church – Clermont talked about good versus evil in our society, including our government. He reminded us that God is not done with America.
Anthony Sabatini, LCREC Chaiman gave remarks on how LCREC leads all counties in Florida with our legislative priorities and why we need to stand up and be strong.
Mary Ann Pistelli, Florida Trump Campaign Coordinator spoke about how President Trump is fighting for us to eliminate the corruption and stop the Democrat Socialist State.
